Deliberating With Your Own Soul

Do this...go there...maybe tomorrow...when all is in order...not yet...first let me go and bury my mother...I am waiting to hear God's will...blah, blah, blah and more blah---there is no end of the deliberations of the soul.  And those deliberations are with our own soul.  Sadly, all our thoughts, ponderings (and panderings), deliberations, and soulish cries will never bring us to know God or His will.   The soul of man can never know the things of God's Spirit.  The soul is not capable of knowing spirit.  Only the spirit can know the Spirit.
God's will is Spirit(ual).  Man's will is soulish.  Thus, the will of man is opposed to the will of God, because the will of man is of the flesh, i.e. the soul.  So, these two wills strive with one another.  If we exercise our  soul/flesh "will" it is rebellion against God's Spirit.  Our soul is only, in and of itself, capable of rebellion.
Impossible bad news!!!  Any hope?  Not if we engage in or continue to deliberate with our soul.
Only when the soul comes under the direction and ministration of the spirit/Spirit can a new order prevail.  Only when that new order prevails can the Spiritual Will of God be "heard" (in our spirit).
"So today...the spirit/Spirit is going to prevail in my life..."  We  think we can exerice our will and do something...  We are automatically walking in the deliberations of our soul when we think we can do this or that...
So give up these deliberations with your own soul!!  It is an exercise in futility!!
